From my experience, I have capture a Venoclaw while working on the quest "Defeat Scorchio". You might want to look in the Ice Shrub when it asks you to defeat 10 Porcroasts. The Ice Shrub will have Porcroast(32%) and Kettlephant(16%). Venoclaw is a rare magic pet so you must keep trying until you get it sometimes you might encounter other rares then just Venoclaw.Rares(1.0%)
It can also be found when you are on the next step of the following quest "Defeat Scorchio". When it asks you to defeat 5 Slizzles and 5 Spiggots.
Just now i found it again when i was clicking on the Mangrove.
